Quick start

Sign up, connect your first Instagram account, and see your first analytics in one guided pass.

By the end of this guide your first Instagram account will be connected and you will see your first analytics on Home.

This is one safe path. For deeper context on each step, follow the links along the way.

What you will need

  • A Meta account that manages a Facebook Page.
  • An Instagram account set as Business or Creator and linked to that Page. Personal Instagram accounts cannot return analytics — see Why a Meta Business connection.

The steps

  1. Sign up at wysestats.com.
  2. Choose a plan. Wysestats has three paid plans — Solo, Creator, and Pro. Pick the one that fits how many accounts and competitors you need to track. Compare them in Pricing and plans.
  3. Run onboarding. After sign-up, Wysestats walks you through seven short personalization screens that shape what you see on Home and in Explore. The first action is connecting your first Instagram account, then the seven screens follow. Full walkthrough: First-run onboarding.
  4. Connect your first Instagram account when prompted. Wysestats opens a Meta authorization window, asks you to confirm which Page and Instagram account to use, and returns you to onboarding. Step-by-step detail: Connect Instagram.
  5. Wait for your first data refresh. A fresh connection backfills history in the background. Recent posts appear within minutes. A full backfill of historical data can take up to a day depending on how much content the account has.
  6. Open Home. Your account brief, recommendations, and the onboarding checklist appear once the first refresh has populated enough data. From there you can explore Analytics, Posts, and Competitors.

What "done" looks like

  • Your Instagram account appears in the sidebar switcher.
  • Home shows real numbers instead of an empty state.
  • Analytics loads charts for the date range you select.

If any of those is missing, give the first sync more time before troubleshooting. Most first-day issues resolve themselves once the backfill completes.
