Glossary

Quick definitions for the terms you will see across the product and these docs.

A short reference for the words Wysestats uses. Skim it once, return when something looks unfamiliar.

Account and structure

  • Your account — the paid container. Holds your billing, plan, profiles, members, and connected accounts.
  • Plan — the subscription tier: Solo, Creator, or Pro. Determines limits and which features are available.
  • Profile — a grouping inside your account. A profile holds one or more Instagram accounts and any related Notion connection. Useful for separating brands or clients.
  • Instagram account (also called connected account) — a Business or Creator account on Instagram, authorized through Meta. The source of the analytics data you see.
  • Active account — the Instagram account currently selected in the sidebar switcher. It is the one driving every chart, list, and report on screen.

Metrics and insights

  • Insights — the metric data Meta returns for Business and Creator accounts.
  • Reach — the number of unique people who saw a piece of content or your account.
  • Impressions — the total number of times content was shown, including repeats.
  • Engagement — the combined interactions on a post: likes, comments, saves, shares.
  • Saves — how many people saved a post to revisit later.
  • Shares — how many people sent a post to someone else.
  • Video views — how many times a Reel or video was watched. Only applies to video content.

Working with content

  • Watchlist — a curated set of competitor accounts you track inside Explore.
  • Report — a generated PDF or HTML snapshot of analytics for a date range.
  • Set — a saved, filtered group of posts you can return to or use in reports.
  • Planner database — a project board where you plan, schedule, and review content.

Integrations and freshness

  • Notion connection — optional integration that mirrors planner and report data into your own Notion workspace.
  • Sync — how Wysestats keeps your data current. Runs daily by default.
