Data and privacy
Export your data, understand how long Wysestats keeps it, delete your account when you need to, and see exactly what disconnecting changes.
This page is the single place for getting your data out, knowing what we keep, and closing the door behind you if you are leaving.
Export your data
- Open Account → Privacy.
- Under Data export, click Export my data.
- A CSV file downloads to your usual downloads folder.
The export covers your profile, your paid account details, the Instagram accounts you have connected, the metrics stored for those accounts, and your competitor records.
How long Wysestats keeps your data
While your plan is active, Wysestats holds onto your data so reports, history, and trends keep working. When a plan ends, things wind down on a predictable schedule:
- Your data is preserved for at least 90 days after your plan ends. During this window you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off — your connected accounts, history, and saved work come back as they were.
- Full deletion typically begins around four months after the plan ends. Analytics history, connected-account records, and stored insights are removed at this point.
- Billing invoices are kept longer. Tax and accounting rules require us to retain invoice records — see the Privacy Policy for the exact period.
If you need anything before the deletion window, export it first.
Delete your account
If you want everything gone now rather than waiting for the retention window, deletion is one action:
- Open Account → Profile.
- Scroll to the Delete account section.
- Click Delete Account.
- Type your email address into the confirmation field — this is a deliberate friction step.
- Click Confirm Deletion.
This signs you out and starts the deletion of your sign-in, your paid account, and the data tied to them. It cannot be undone, so if you are unsure, export your data first.
Disconnect vs. delete
These two are not the same thing.
Disconnecting an Instagram account or Notion stops new data from flowing in. Your historical metrics, reports, and saved work stay in place — disconnect is reversible. See Reconnect or disconnect.
Deleting your account removes your sign-in and tied data on the schedule above, and is not reversible.
