Notifications
Turn alerts on or off, choose which categories you care about, and unsubscribe from email if you only want them in-app.
Notifications surface the moments worth your attention — a viral post, a new badge, a competitor spike — without you needing to refresh a dashboard. This page covers how to tune them.
Open notification settings
- Click your avatar in the sidebar.
- Choose Account.
- Open the Notifications tab.
You will see two groups: alerts about your own account and alerts about competitors you have added. Each row is a single notification type with a short description so you remember what it is.
Toggle a notification
Each notification type has an in-app toggle on its row.
- Switch it on to have the alert appear in your in-app feed (the bell icon in the sidebar).
- Switch it off to stop receiving that alert entirely.
Changes save automatically. If a save fails, the toggle snaps back and a banner appears at the top of the page.
In-app vs. email
The in-app toggle controls what shows up in your bell feed and as a brief toast in the bottom-right corner of the app.
Email versions of selected alerts go out separately. You will get an email when something genuinely warrants pulling you out of the app — a high-impact post, a streak earned, a connection that needs attention. Routine in-app alerts do not also email you.
Unsubscribe from email
Every notification email has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Click the link in any notification email.
- You land on a confirmation page that records your preference.
- From that point on, that category will not email you. The in-app toggle is unchanged, so you keep seeing the alert in the app if you had it on.
Unsubscribing applies to your email address, so if you sign out and sign back in, the preference still holds.
Why a notification is missing
A few normal reasons an expected alert did not arrive:
- The first sync for the account is still finishing. Alerts begin once your initial pull completes.
- The same alert fired in the last twenty-four hours. Wysestats avoids repeating the same notification for the same post or account in a short window.
- The notification type is switched off in your settings.
- The competitor it would have referenced was removed from your list before the alert had a chance to fire.
When to revisit your settings
Three good moments to come back to this page:
- After connecting a new Instagram account.
- After adding a batch of new competitors.
- When alerts start feeling like noise — turn off the categories you keep dismissing without reading.
