Canvas overview

Understand what Canvas is today — a chat-first companion for working through sets and boards — and what is and is not wired up yet.

Canvas is the chat-first companion area of Wysestats. It is designed for slower, more deliberate work than the rest of the product: thinking through a group of posts, comparing performance patterns, and using a chat interface to help you reason about what you are seeing.

What Canvas is today

Canvas is built around three ideas:

  • Boards — visual workspaces where you arrange posts, context, and chat outputs side by side.
  • Sets — saved groupings of posts you built earlier in Posts, brought into Canvas to work against.
  • Chat-first interaction — instead of menus of analysis options, you ask questions in plain language and the chat node responds in the context of the board.

Today's Canvas is partially wired. Boards open and accept posts brought in from sets and from the post picker. Chat nodes accept prompts and produce output nodes. The mental model — "import posts and have a conversation about them" — is in place and usable.

How Canvas relates to the rest of the app

A short map:

  • Use Posts to inspect and filter your content, and to build a saved set.
  • Open that set in Canvas when you want to think through it more carefully than a list view allows.
  • Boards persist, so a board you build today is still there next week.

Canvas is not a replacement for Analytics or Reports. Analytics gives you the trend, Reports gives you the deliverable, Canvas gives you the workspace for thinking in between.

Honest current limitations

Because Canvas is partially wired, a few things are worth being explicit about:

  • The set of node types and chat capabilities is still expanding. Not every kind of analysis you might imagine is available yet.
  • Some advanced flows (deeper integrations between boards, multi-set comparisons, scheduled board updates) are roadmap, not shipped — do not assume they are present.
  • If a control or action looks like it should exist but does not, it is most likely not built yet rather than gated.

When in doubt, treat Canvas as a useful but evolving companion to Posts and Sets. Use it for the cases it handles well today, and check back for new capabilities over time.

Plans

Canvas access depends on your plan. If Canvas is unavailable, check your current plan in Account → Billing before troubleshooting further. For the per-plan picture, see pricing and plans.
